Every car on our lot has been hand-picked by Rich or Ron Thurston. It takes years to develop an eye for buying used cars, and although the average car buyer could never tell the non-wrecked car from the one that's been wrecked and repaired, Rich and Ron pride themselves on buying only the perfect, non-wrecked car. Standing right next to them at the auto auction are buyers for corporate dealerships like CarMax and AutoNation.

At Thurston's you won't find your typical used car - a $2,000 or $3,000 old beater that will only last you a few months and then conk out. We have the best selection of the best cars, usually two or three of each. About half our inventory is SUVs, and many of our cars are low-mileage lease vehicles still under factory warranty.

About 50 percent of Thurston's client base comes from repeat business or customer referrals. We only have 11 employees and most of them have been with us for more than five years. That means when you're ready to buy your next used car and you come back to Thurston's - and you will come back - you're likely to have the same dependable, honest salesperson to assist you again.

"People have a fear of buying used cars - and with good reason," Rich says. "It takes a long time to develop the kind of trust that allows a customer to buy a $40,000 car from an independent used car dealer. We've developed that kind of trust. We are different from the average used car dealer."
